π HOW TO CHOOSE PRODUCTS FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE (OILY, DRY, COMBO, SENSITIVE)
When I first got into skincare, I was overwhelmed by all the options. I bought what everyone else was using online, not realizing my skin had its own needs. Turns out, the key to glowing, healthy skin isn’t following trends — it’s understanding your skin type and choosing products that work for you.
If you’ve ever felt the same way, this blog is your guide.
| Skin Type | Common Signs | What It Needs |
|---|---|---|
| Oily | Shiny skin, large pores, breakouts | Lightweight, oil-free products to control excess oil |
| Dry | Flaky, tight, dull | Rich, hydrating formulas to nourish and lock in moisture |
| Sensitive | Redness, burning, stinging, irritation | Gentle, fragrance-free products with calming ingredients |
| Normal | Balanced, smooth, few issues | Light moisturizers and simple routines to maintain skin health |
| Acne-Prone | Frequent breakouts, blackheads, blemishes | Non-comedogenic products, actives like salicylic acid & niacinamide |
✨ Quick test: Wash your face, skip all products, and see how your skin feels after 30 minutes. That’s your skin type talking.

DeleteIs niacinamide serum of ordinary (brand) good for dry skin ?
ReplyDelete"Yes, The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum can be beneficial for dry skin, but with a few considerations. Niacinamide helps strengthen the skin barrier and improves overall texture, which is great. However, it’s not a hydrating serum on its own. so pair it with a good moisturizer and maybe a hydrating serum like hyaluronic acid to keep your skin nourished and balanced.
